Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave.

CBT cannot remove your problems, but can help you manage them in a more positive way. It encourages you to examine how your actions can affect how you think and feel. Talking and changing your behaviour can change how you think (cognitive) and what you do (behaviour). This can make you feel better about life.

Originally from Fife I moved to Glasgow in the late 90's and I have worked in various fields of employment ranging from Mobile Phones to Banking. I have over 9 years coaching individuals in the Banking Sector. After 10 years in Banking I looked at a career change so I took the COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills course. The course made me more self aware of my feelings, behaviours and thoughts.
After completing the Course I went on to complete the SCOTACS Diploma in Counselling & Groupwork. I have experience in dealing with issues such as Problematic Alcohol Use, Depression, Anxiety, Stress and Low Self-Esteem. As well as working as a Private Practitioner I also volunteer my services within an Alcohol Misuse Agency based in Glasgow.
Qualifications: SCOTACS Diploma in Counselling & Groupwork - A Cognitive Approach COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills ASIST Suicide Prevention Advanced Alcohol Awareness Fully Insured and PVG Disclosure checked Royal Society of Medicine - Senior Associate Member.
